About ClearBaZi

Why we built it

Enter the same birth moment into three BaZi calculators and you can get three different charts. Often the tools simply follow different conventions for true solar time, the start of the year and the start of the day, and most of them do not say which ones they use. Sometimes there is a real error: a birth time abroad compared directly with solar-term times given in Beijing time.

ClearBaZi was built to do the opposite. It applies your birthplace's historical time zone and daylight saving automatically, states every convention it uses, and when your birth moment sits close to a boundary, it shows you the other possible chart instead of quietly picking one.

Who runs ClearBaZi

ClearBaZi (clearbazi.com) is a small independent project operated by FiveUpClub Inc, Wyoming, USA. We have no ads and no accounts, and we are not affiliated with any astrology school or practitioner.

How we check the calculations

• Tested against astronomy. Solar-term times from 1900 to 2100 are checked against an independent astronomical calculation, and every release is run against 14 tricky birth moments such as births on the Start of Spring, during a daylight-saving change or just after 23:00.
• Open building blocks. Calendar calculations use the open-source lunar-javascript library, and city coordinates and time-zone rules come from GeoNames.
• Private by design. Every chart is calculated in your browser. Your birth details are not sent to us.

How we write the explanations

The plain-English explanations and the paid chart guide were drafted with the help of AI writing tools, then reviewed and edited by us line by line against traditional sources and our own calculations. We describe BaZi as a traditional framework for reflection: we do not predict events, and nothing on this site is medical, psychological, financial or legal advice.
